Today I woke
with a thick fog,
blanketing my world.

Can barely see my hands.
Just a faint outline,
of who I am.

Occasional glimpses of hope,
instantly suffocated
by the hazy abyss.

This claustrophobic fog,
creeps, clings, consumes…
Yet another lost soul,
blinded by confusion.

But suddenly,
piercing the gloom,
a ray of glorious sunlight,
bursts through the mist…
My daughter’s voice,
calling me back from the brink.

In a heartbeat,
she lights up my world.
Banishing dark demons,
who scuttle to the shadows.

My salvation.

Tell me,
where would we be,
without love?
