The setting summer sun,
casts creeping shadows over crumbling sandcastles.

Back-dropped by a tranquil evening sky
marbled with infinite shades of crimson.

The soothing roll
of surf on the shore,
and pebbles, smoothed by millennia,
dance as the ocean retreats.

My senses are bewitched.
My mind tumbling with swirling emotion.
Is this tide, timeless?
Am I too, just a single breaking wave?

I feel cleansed of the heavy burden
of perpetual thought.
And my soul breathes a contented sigh,
as Peace cradles me in her arms.
